Nudge for MAC
Free, open-source window manager for Mac: snap, resize and arrange windows with keyboard shortcuts or by dragging them to a screen edge.
Nudge Overview
Nudge is a free, open-source window manager for the Mac. It lives in the menu bar and lets you snap windows into halves, quarters, thirds and two-thirds, maximize or center them, or restore their previous size with a keyboard shortcut. You can also drag a window to a screen edge or corner to snap it into place, so arranging a desk full of apps takes a keystroke instead of careful resizing.
Nudge offers 19 actions, and every shortcut can be changed in Nudge → Settings → Shortcuts; the defaults use Control and Option with the arrow keys. With more than one display, pressing the same shortcut twice moves the window to the next screen, and apps you never want moved can be ignored from the menu bar. It is written in Swift and AppKit by the developer mikusnuz and released under the MIT license, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases or ads. Version 1.0.3 fixes snapping for Electron-based apps, animated resizing in Chrome and multi-monitor cycling. Nudge needs macOS 11 Big Sur or later and runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The developer says it is signed and notarized by Apple; on first launch it asks for Accessibility permission, which it needs to move other apps' windows.

WindowCycleWindowCycle is a window switcher for the app you are using right now. Press Command + ` and a panel lists the windows of the frontmost app; keep pressing to move forward, add Shift to move back, and release Command to bring the selected window to the front. Escape hides the panel, and a menu bar item offers Show, Hide, Settings and Quit. Unlike the built-in shortcut, you can see every window of the app before you pick one.Customization
PlonkPlonk is a free, open-source toolbox for the Mac that puts a set of everyday utilities behind one menu bar icon. It arranges windows in snap zones you draw yourself, saves workspaces that put apps back on the right monitor, takes and annotates screenshots, copies text from anything on screen with on-device OCR, measures the screen in points and pixels, keeps the Mac awake and adds pointer tools. Every tool shares one interface, one command palette and one set of settings, and each module except the shortcut guide can be switched off.Customization
Window GlueWindow Glue is a small macOS menu bar utility that lets you glue two windows together so that they behave, mostly, as one. Turn on Add Glue from the menu bar icon, drag a window near another, and a glow shows where it will snap. Once they are joined, moving one window brings the other along. Shake a window quickly to break the connection.Customization
DockitDockit is a small macOS window management tool focused on one job: docking windows to the edge of the screen and previewing them quickly. Send a window to the left or right edge and it tucks away, leaving a sliver showing. Move the pointer to that edge and the window expands, then it retracts when you leave. It is useful for a window you check often, such as notes, a chat or a terminal, without giving it a permanent place on the screen.Customization
LoopLoop makes window management on the Mac quick and elegant. Hold down a trigger key and move your cursor in a direction: a radial menu appears and Loop moves and resizes the window to match, for example to the left half, a corner or full screen. A preview shows the new size before you let go. If you prefer the keyboard, you can give every action its own shortcut together with the trigger key, and cycles let you step through several sizes by pressing the same shortcut again.Customization
AmethystAmethyst is a tiling window manager for macOS, inspired by xmonad on Linux. Instead of dragging and resizing windows by hand, Amethyst arranges them automatically so they fill the screen without overlapping. You choose a layout, such as a tall main window with others stacked beside it, a grid or full screen, and switch between layouts, move windows and change their sizes with keyboard shortcuts. Each screen and each Space can have its own layout. Amethyst is developed by Ian Ybarra and a community of contributors.Customization
